this gives stem cell research a bad name. Autism needs no cure. this is as offensive as using stem cells to "cure" black skin or gay people

Stem cells from cord blood and cord tissue are also adult stem cells.

Please understand one thing about stem cells. The ONLY treatments available anywhere in the world with stem cells for any disease is ADULT stem cells and NOT embryonic. Adult stem cells mean they are taken from tissue, fat, blood or bone marrow. So the ethical issue does not apply. Right now in the entire world the only embryonic stem cells being used are for RESEARCH. ~Nahla

Dear Millie, I am autistic myself (more specifically Asperger's) and I would like to ask if you think stimming is bad. When you were mentioning things, you mentioned that as one of the things they stopped doing. Because I am an Honor Society, Debate, Tennis, Choir student but in private time, I still stim. For the most part yours is a great story but I'm not sure that stimming is bad if that's what you're saying because it's usually a stress-relieving thing. Sincerely, Chris Cleveland
